We emphasized traditional geometric construction with a compass and straightedge to explore nature's many marvelous shape and number patterns.
And then the students transformed their learning into art. I love seeing the same idea manifest in as many unique expressions as there are students. I'm extremely proud of their accomplishments and of having a part in sharing this uplifting vision which teaching mathematics can be when free of textbooks and time constraints.
